Description:
The Community Department at the TUM Blockchain Club is dedicated to creating an engaging environment for all members passionate about blockchain technology and its potential. Our main objective is to build a strong, supportive network that not only connects members within the club but also extends to the broader blockchain community.Our department is structured around three core areas of responsibility: Community Network Management, Personal Development, and Process Management. Our tasks include distributing informative as well as fun newsletters, organizing meetups, and hosting internal club events to keep our members connected and informed. For Personal Development, we focus on maintaining an up-to-date members list, managing a helpbox for queries and support, and moderating and preparing for core team meetings and informational sessions. Process Management involves the creation and continual updating of club processes, such as recruiting, onboarding, and meeting procedures, maintaining the members list on platforms like Notion, and moderating our Discord channel to ensure a productive and welcoming environment.

We are on the lookout for individuals who are passionate about building a thriving community centered around blockchain technology. Legal

Description:
The Legal & Finance department at the TUM Blockchain Club is dedicated to ensuring financial integrity and regulatory compliance, which stabilizes our operations. We oversee all aspects of financial management, including budgeting and accounting, and handle legal matters such as contracts with our sponsors and partners and taxation. Additionally, our department consults other departments on internal spending in both fiat and cryptocurrencies for club-related activities. We are also responsible for entity maintenance and managing bank accounts. Join us to gain valuable insights into entity management, the composition of legal contracts, and crypto regulation in Germany and beyond, as well as to contribute to our professional environment.
Who we are looking for:
We are seeking individuals who excel in organization, have a talent for numbers, and possess strong communication skills. While bookkeeping experience is a plus, it is not required. Ideal candidates are proactive, reliable, and ready to take on the responsibility of maintaining order and structure within our team. Industry

Description:
The Industry department at the TUM Blockchain Club is a mission-driven department that organizes web3 projects for student teams tackling real-world problems provided by industry partners. The department is structured into 4 task forces: Partner Management, Event Organization, HR, and Project Mentoring. The Partner Management task force is responsible for finding partners and defining suitable projects with them. Event Organization plans and manages info sessions, team-building activities and pitch events. The HR task force oversees the application process, attracts students, conducts interviews and selects participants. The Project Mentoring task force is supporting the student teams by moderating weekly calls with partners and assisting with any issues.
Who we are looking for:
If you are passionate about organizing exciting web3 projects in collaboration with companies, we want you on our team. We highly value strong organizational and communication skills. While technical skills are not required, a good understanding of blockchain and web3 is advantageous. Members of the Industry Department contribute to at least two of the four task forces. Join us in advancing the Munich Web3 ecosystem by connecting students to the industry and fostering a vibrant community of builders.

External Affairs

Description:
The External Affairs department at the TUM Blockchain Club is dedicated to expanding and promoting the organization's network through strategic outreach and partnership development. This multifaceted role includes engaging with university clubs, securing and maintaining partnerships, exploring new collaboration opportunities, and fundraising for conferences, with a particular emphasis on sustaining strong relationships with state-of-the-art Web3 startups.We are blockchain agnostic and focused on research and education, seeking healthy, long-term relationships that align with our club's mission to advance the student blockchain ecosystem. Our goal is to create a community of academics, students, and professionals who support each other in using blockchain technology for the greater good. IT & Development

Description:
The IT & Development department at the TUM Blockchain Club is dedicated to transitioning from Web2 to Web3. Our vision is to work on internal Web3 projects, building MVPs (Minimum Viable Products) and PoCs (Proofs of Concept) for Web3 concepts. We aim to integrate Web3 technology into the club's daily activities.On the web2 side, our team is responsible for maintaining the club's infrastructure and website, ensuring smooth operations. This includes the website you are currently reading and our internal IT infrastructure.Current projects in the web3 space include setting up and maintaining a dappnode (Ethereum node), developing an NFT membership collection, and managing the clubs DAO (Decentralized Autonomous Organization) delegator profile. Join us as part of a team that drives tech and builder spirit within the club.

We are looking for enthusiastic individuals to join our IT & Development department. You don't need to know how to code in Web3, but you just need to be eager to learn. Our department also focuses on tech and blockchain research, so a curiosity for new technologies is essential.If you are a specialist in Web2, such as web development or Linux administration, you are a great fit for our team. Join us to help drive the transition from Web2 to Web3, working on innovative projects and maintaining our IT infrastructure. Marketing

Description:
The Marketing team at the TUM Blockchain Club is responsible for creating marketing campaigns for events, managing branding, promoting club visibility, and content creation, particularly for social media. We handle the website's design and other visual elements and create merchandise and marketing materials. Everything you see from the club externally, including flyers, roll-ups, and overall visibility, is thanks to our efforts.For our events, the marketing team is also in charge of the ticketing strategy and audience market analysis. We are looking for creative students skilled in text writing, photography, videography, design, advertising, or public speaking. Join us to help enhance the club's presence and engagement through innovative marketing strategies.

Education

Description:
The Education Team ensures that everyone in the TUM Blockchain Club, as well as our events and projects, stays at the cutting edge of Web3. We constantly review the latest research, prepare internal and external study programs, and organize educational events to achieve this goal.Our recent projects include an Applied Cryptography for Decentralized Systems master's lecture at TUM from the Chair of Network Architectures and Services and an internal research group focused on cryptography. We also organized study groups on various cryptography topics and conducted an internal boot camp to cover the fundamentals and beyond of blockchain, Web3, and cryptography for all core members. The education team is responsible for developing the content and agenda for the TUM Blockchain Conference.Join us in contributing to these initiatives and helping foster a learning environment that keeps our club at the forefront of blockchain education.
